The Detroit Red Wings (hockey), my hometown team, won the Stanley Cup (NHL championship) tonight. On my scale of exciting life moments, this ranks as a 6. But the scale goes up to 400 zillion, so I don't think this event was quite as high ranking as you were initially led to believe. I just wasn't raised to be a hockey fan.

Here's a question for you: I'm going to go to bed.

It probably dates back to that aweful childhood experience on the family pond one cold winter day when your dad blasted a wrist shot toward the goal but instead hit your shin and you crumpled like a crumbled cookie onto the frozen ice writhing in agony as several unlookers wondered if you would ever walk again and a trip to the emergency room would be necessary...

What about that exciting last 3 seconds in which Pittsburg "ALMOST SCORED THE TYING GOAL" that would have broken the hearts of Red Wing fans everywhere (well, technically NOT everywhere, maybe a few places in Canada and the Upper Penisula)...
